I ended my last two personal posts, as I felt I should commit to it, by promising I’d read a few blogs on Friday.  Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.  Did you ever hear the saying ‘my eyes were bigger than my stomach’?  Well, in a metaphorical sense, that pertained to my wants conflicting with hours in a day.

I did clean my house.  I also went on a blog trip, where, once again, I challenged my photography skills.  I still have some work to do, but I was pleased with the post. It seems that every new place presents its own set of challenges.  Plus, there are so many composition concepts to keep in mind.  Like anything, it will take some practice to be really good.

Anyways, besides the blog trip, and subsequent writing, I went to a hockey game.  It was a lot of fun.  The home team is known as the Green Bay Gamblers, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at their logo.  That’s because, centered on the jersey, a cartoonish bobcat, one holding a hockey stick, is emblazoned on the home team’s attire.  Admittedly, there is an ace of spades up the feline’s sleeve, but the cat seems horribly out of place.

There is an explanation however.  I don’t know how long ago the Green Bay Bobcats skated the rink, but that team, one my mother told me about, played in Green Bay.  I don’t know, I’m basically guessing, but I think they played in the same area.

In any event, the game was exciting. The Gamblers lost to Team USA, but it was an overtime goal that decided the contest.

After that, our group decided we’d get a drink. We stopped at Stadium View for one, and then made our way home.

Saturday, which is the day I’m writing this, saw me reading a few blog posts… finally!! I learned about places, people, ambitions, perspectives and more. And the more someone seeks out new friends, the more the veil of this world is drawn back. That is to say, my eyes were opened to things unseen.

Safe Travels!
