Today, weather permitting, I’ll enjoy most of my time outdoors. And all things considered, I think that’s a fairly decent way to spend the day. As I mention this, I’m grateful for summer. That’s because, most undeniably, it’s when I’m the most active.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m not a shut-in during colder months. Well, spring time, and winter, provide hazards while running, but I still stay active during those cooler days.
Speaking of being idle during frosty seasons, believe it or not, springtime is when I’m least active. With winter, there is usually snow on the earth, and that allows for a ton of sporting pursuits. But, with spring, the ground is soggy after the winter soil has thawed.
And with that in mind, you really can’t ride your mountain bike, the rivers run to fast for two way paddles and slick, icy roads are still a factor in early spring. So, I usually grow a little spare tire. By mid June however, I’m fit as a fiddle. I’m not trying to brag, I’m just telling it like it is.
Anyways, I guess I’ll go out and do what I do. It certainly will feel like an accomplishment. I hope you have a great day as well!
