What are you passionate about?
We all, and I mean everybody, are passionate about something. Some are very passionate about loafing around. Others, well, they’re passionate about doing their best. And in between, there are millions of activities to pursue and conquer. So, like anyone, I have a few activities I really, really, really enjoy doing.
First off, as you must have guessed, I’m fairly passionate about writing. I call it challenging my literary mind. Now, when considering the blogosphere, I might not be the most gifted writer, that’s probably obvious, but I certainly like to communicate my thoughts, feelings and perceptions through the written word.
Secondly, I love to mountain bike. Once again, I’m not going to destroy the competition. Most likely, professionals would lap me on my home trail. Yet, that doesn’t mean I don’t go hard, nor does it mean I’m out there for show. I do it for the adrenaline rush, the exercise and the challenge my chosen trail provides.
I’m also passionate about my job, and helping people find what they need…at a price they can afford. Trust me, as I mature and age, I realize the value of a dollar. I also realize that, just because someone absolutely wants or needs something, a desperate customer doesn’t deserve to be raked over the coals. Where I work, our tag line is : Save Money, Live Better. That’s not just a tagline, it’s a statement of fact. And, like I said, as I age, I realize that value, above all else, and in everything we seek out, is of paramount importance.
I know, I sound like a commercial…guess what, even if I’m not some manager, I do feel that way. I think it resonates through my actions.
I’m also passionate about my home and relying upon myself. Believe it or not, as I’ve learned the hard way, many people are not. I think caring for your self, physically, spiritually and financially are important. Yet, and I always felt this never needed to be said, we shouldn’t expect a pat on the back for it, we should expect this from ourselves. Cleaning our home, balancing our finances and giving credit to the man upstairs are necessities, not monumental deeds that deserve accolades.
So those are my passions. I probably skipped a few. But, if you were to pry my skull open, you’d probably discover a few reel to reel tape players echoing through my head. They’d be on a continuous loop, and the topics I have listed would be their focus. So, with that said, I’m going to tend to these things.
Have an excellent day!
