If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?

Okay, today’s topic is fairly goofy, at least for a middle aged guy. However, I must admit, even if I shop at Goodwill, I do like to look good. So, what’s my favorite outfit…hmmm.

I think, since I found a steal on ebay, that my Robin Yount jersey would be tops on the list. I’d match it with a pair of white shorts. For shoes, eh, I’d throw on my beat up hiking sandals.

Not only does this look good on me, but it speaks to my childhood. When I was young, I did something that drove my mom nuts. Yet, I couldn’t help it. I used to dream I was Robin Yount, and I would throw a rubber ball against the house. You see, Robin was a gold glove shortstop, so, in an attempt to emulate that young man, I’d try, with baseball glove in hand, to catch grounders coming from the side of the house.

Today, I still believe he’s a decent man. He was also a good role model. So, I don’t mind wearing his jersey. It reminds me, and some of the moments I remember clearly, of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers World Series. They didn’t win, but it brought a lonely nine year old boy happiness.

Have an excellent day!
