What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

You would think this topic, which was chosen by WordPress, would be a tough one. I mean, after all, we eat food everyday. Yet, for me, there was a dish, an excellent meal devoured during a short vacation, that I blissfully remember to this day.

I was in Chicago, a woman by my side. We had decided we’d try a fancy restaurant, some place nearby, and have a romantic dinner. So, I Googled places and found one.

What I found was decent; wood deco was all about the place, and jazz subtly wafted through the open dining room. My date, well she went the conservative route, claiming she didn’t want to be too adventurous. I guess she didn’t want to make a mistake and order something she hated. Had she done that, she might have starved the rest of the night.

As for me, a veteran of Southern Door School District cafeteria food, man, as long as I can chew it, I’ll finish it…whether I like it or not. I guess that’s not totally true, I have been to high end restaurants where the dish was horrible, but that’s another story. Anyways, after perusing the menu, I ordered the salmon with chimichurri sauce.

I love salmon, but had never heard of “whatever that word is” sauce. So, with wine on ice and an excellent waiter for service, I was served my mystery dish…DAMN!

I probably embarrassed my date by lauding over my fillet. But, seriously, it was really, really, really good…no, excellent, wait, how about scrumptiously delectably tantalizing? Anyways, yeah, it was delicious.

I’m no longer with that girl. But, I found a recipe online for that sauce. When the mood hits me, I’ll grill a few burgers and top it with that sauce. It’s seriously the best burger you’ll ever eat…hand on the Bible and swear to god.
