What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

I like to maintain that a steady sleep regimen. My work schedule dictates my bedtime. RAnd my ambitions dictate my wake up call.

Sleep. Studies say Americans don’t get enough of it. Yet, and I do pride myself in this fact, I make an attempt and to get adequate sleep each day. As we all know, allowing yourself enough time in all three stages of sleep increases your effectiveness. Today, in a brief post, I’ll give you the run down of my sleep patterns.

First off, and I think it’s important, I try to get a nightly rest period of eight hours. Seeing how I work from 2-11, with my employer being only three miles from my house, I give myself two hours of wind down time. Yes, by one, I’m usually drifting off to sleep.

Usually, during that period, my sleep is fairly sound. Once in awhile, I’ll wake early in the morning…like sevenish. However, I simply roll over and wait till my bedroom clock strikes nine. Yes, nine, sometimes right on the dot, is my wake up time. I literally use no alarm, my brain just knows it’s time to wake up.

So, that was a short explanation as to my sleep patterns. If I fail to adhere to the pattern, man, my mind isn’t functional. And a working mind, above all else, is what I crave.
