What do you think gets better with age?
If I were to use that cliche line ‘it only gets better with age’, what would I be referring to? In my life, there are a few things which, as they withstand time’s passing, I increasingly cherish, and they grow more important as the sands tumble through the hourglass. In this short post, I’ll explain what those items are, and why they’re important to me.
First off, I reminisce about my childhood, and, because I do, I’ve retained a few things from my grandparents. Those relics are nothing special, but they allow me to remember visits to their house.
Those vestiges, which happen to be a classic coat rack and bar sign, become more precious every day I age. And because they’re quality goods, and they look as fresh as my yesteryear recollections, I can honestly say they sustain that ancestral bond.
There are other things, especially thinking of my past, which entertain me now as much, if not more, than my childhood glee. For instance The Goonies, Star Wars and James Bond are all cinematic dramas I love to revisit.
Of course, there’s eighties and nineties music. I could actually write several posts on the subject, but, well, I’m sure you understand, especially if you’re around my age.
Anyways, I could go on about trinkets from childhood. But, you know what, I think I made my point, and elaborating further, well, it’s just needless rambling.
Have an excellent day!
