List 10 things you know to be absolutely certain.

This is, well, time for some humor. When asked to list the things that I’m sure are certain, well, I’m nervous…hmm, is this a psych evaluation? Well, I’ll just stick to the easy stuff.

First off, it’s 2023….right? I mean, heck, most of the music I like, and movies for that matter, came from the nineties. Many hipsters prefer The Weekend. Well, I’ve heard of the dude. Yet, I rarely listen to him.

Secondly, Joe Biden is our President. He also supports clean energy. With that said, despite his age, I’m actually a supporter of the man.

Alright, I’m on number three. Here we go, I live in a mobile home. It’s quite old, but I’ve made upgrades and the place feels cozy.

Here’s my fourth fun fact; once again, I’ll list something I own. You see,a I drive a Chevy Bolt. It’s an EV. As far as range and charging time, it isn’t the greatest. But it certainly gets me to where I need to be.

Fifth fact, phew, I actually didn’t realize I knew this much…anyways, here I go, I work at Walmart. It’s been my place of employment for over twenty years. It pays the bills, is a great company…(yes, I really feel that way) and is a pretty decent place to work.

Sixth fun fact? Well, how about the fact that I’m renovating, okay renovating might be too strong of a word, but I’m making changes to my sun porch. It’s becoming an outdoor TV room. It’ll be perfect for watching afternoon and evening sporting events, at least when the weather allows.

Seventh fact, and this probably should have been number one, I have two sisters, two parents, three nieces and four nephews…oh, and two brother-in-laws. Basically, I’m damn lucky.

Eighth fact, and this is also a definite, concrete statement. I love to mountain bike. I’m not horrible, and each year, while my physical prowess is beginning to wane, my technical skills are improving.

Ninth fact, I like road trips. Getting in the car, chatting about nothing…yeah, that’s fun. To top that off, when experiencing that highway freedom, I might stumble upon an unforgettable spot…Oooh! And I can also talk to the locals.

Tenth, and final fact, I quit smoking when I was 37 years old. I’m glad I did, but I’m ticked. I could’ve kicked that unhealthy habit years before. It literally stopped me from enjoying the things I love today. Although, reflecting on what I could have done differently is totally useless. So, I just thank god I’m smoke free. I know I’ll never do it again, cigarettes were literally destroying me.

So, there, today’s writing is finished. I know, “Who cares?”….right? I get it, it’s silly, but when tied to a job and keeping a decent place to live, answering WordPress prompts happens to be the best resource for constant writing topics.

Have an excellent day!
