What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being? I’m planning p
Our health. It affects everything we do. Managing and maintaining it, yes, it’s necessary. With that said, as I age, there are many practices I adhere to…and they keep me healthy. In this post, I’ll explain some of my good habits.
First off, I’ll start with my heart health. Not only is this heart healthy, it also generates a positive mental outlook. And those two things, and I diligently adhere to these practices, are eating fruits, vegetables and protein plus engaging in cardio activity.
Don’t get me wrong, there are cholesterol and fats in my diet. Actually, you need some of that. Anyways, my resting heart rate consistently registers at 42 beats per minute. So, I’d say my ticker is perfectly fine.
Secondly, because it’s equally important, I keep my muscles finely tuned. Being that I’m nearing fifty, my joints aren’t capable of weightlifting. Instead, I go kayaking and do a few push ups in intervals. I may not look like a body builder, but my muscles are in extremely good shape.
As far as brain health, there’s tons that I do. Meditation, relaxation and biographical documentation are three elements of my mental well being. I also get outdoors, especially in scenic woodlands.
Okay, this is a real quick post. So I’ll end it with this…Good sleep, being constantly active and thinking of those around me also contribute to my state of being. Yet, I’ll wrap this up by stating that my self maintenance regimen is continuously evolving, and it will continue to be a focus of mine.
Have an Excellent Day!
