What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

My blog. I’m attached to this daily activity. But…why do I do it? If you were to ask me that question, I’d respond by saying, “It’s a way to get my writing out in the open.” Yet, if I were to think about it, is there an underlying purpose that spurs me on…does my blog have meaning? Today, I’ll explore the goals behind my writing.

First off, in my life, I’m not proud of everything I’ve done. Sometimes, when we don’t think about others, we can be mean. And sincerely, when I look back at a few missteps, I wonder why I would have ever said or did such an irresponsible thing.

I think the true reason, as I think of disrespectful deeds, comes from self image. And, even if I didn’t realize it, maybe I wasn’t happy with me.

So, with my blog, I want people to realize that who they are is fine…no, not fine…exceptional. You may not be a professional athlete, nor are you an A-list entertainer, but, guess what, you’re you.

I hear what you’re saying…”Big Whoop! My life sucks!” I think the reason why we feel this way, and I truly mean this, is because of the garbage we see on TV.

Everybody, seemingly, wants to be the most liked…at least I used to think that way. But now, when I look at what really matters, and why God doesn’t create clones, I realize each one of us shares a role on Earth. Some, because of faulty ideals, simply don’t want to accept who they are.

Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t fight to be the greatest version of you…fight for that with all your might. However, one must realize what they’re not, and truly accept it. Believe me, when you do, you’ll be a much happier human being. I think that, once you accept that, you’ll truly blossom…and things you didn’t think were possible, well, they become possible.

So, with all that said, I think my goal, at least I think this is where I’m going with my writing, is, with my own honest opinions, to spur people to simply be comfortable with who they are…that’s how I’d change the world.

PLUS…

And, as you can tell by the all caps and bold print, this is a huge plus. I want people to experience the world. And that was my first goal, way back when I began writing. I wanted to spark an adventurous side in my readers. I wanted them to create a memory…something that would live with them.

So, instead of bashing the person ahead of you in the checkout line, I’m not saying you would, I’m just underlining my sentiment, anyways, instead of bashing someone at the grocery store, plan a hike, a night out, a museum visit…anything that would enhance your life, because your smile can be infectious!
