What is a word you feel that too many people use?

A word I’ve heard many times, that is, as of late, actually, it may have seen its heyday several years ago, anyways, an overused word in the lingo of many is…’Epic’. Today, I’ll explain what I mean.

First of all, I know a guy…very intelligent. Sometimes, as I recall a few mishaps, the man would utter a phrase; it was like nails on a chalkboard. And begrudgingly, I remember these words, because they came after an embarrassing blunder…’Epic Fail’. Yeah, although I like the guy, those words still don’t sit well with me.

Of course, what many would use, when thinking of that night at the bar, when we did God knows what, was simply…’Epic’

Not to mention, it’s not only friends that speak these phrases. Movie trailers, at least many of them, tout…’an epic tale’…’an epic adventure’…’a heart pounding epic’…I think you get the point.

Heck, even my crossword puzzles, on many days, include the word ‘epic’.

Okay, I can’t really expand upon this much more. So, I’ll leave you with this over used tagline…
