If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?
Words. I, myself, well, I try to learn as many as possible. It helps me to be both an eloquent writer and speaker. Yet, especially in speech, I use one word all too often. And yeah, generations have passed, and I still overuse that piece of the English language. Later, in this post, no, wait, actually, I’ll tell you why I use actually way too often.
I don’t know when it started, maybe, and it’s probably dead on, in person, sometimes I can really be sarcastic. Yet, I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. So, to let them know that I didn’t actually mean what I said, I’ll lead in with…actually…
When I write, I don’t actually use actually very often. That’s mainly because, and I cringe a lot when I use it, but, anyways, I’m well aware that I overuse the word. So, when I write, being that I have more control of the words I use, I ensure I very sparsely use it.
Man, I actually wish I could elaborate further. But, actually, I think I made my point.
Have an Excellent Day!
