Red flags. Warnings of danger. In this day and age, we’re practically trained to watch for them. There are deceitful criminals, ones that mesh with society, and they’re in plain view. So, watching for those subtle nuances…yeah, it comes in handy. Today, I’ll tell you, as I’m reminded of my own errors in judgement, what trait really causes alarm.

For me, the answer is simple. I’m wary of someone who is too nice, or, more closer to the fact, one who’ll give me exactly what I want. Now that I’ve grown older, I realize that, whether we like it or not, everything has a price. And while it may be free on the front end, later, the cost could be debilitating.

Of course, there are other red flags. And yes, they’ll also ring alarms in my head. But today, my message is simple: work for what you want. Don’t let some knock you of course, or, worse yet, prey on your naive passions.
