What have you been working on?
I think everyone should set a goal. It’s a reason for waking in the morning. Of course, with set benchmarks, there’s always the risk of failure. I must accept those risks, because I shouldn’t let trepidation be my undoing. Today, I’ll tell you what I’ve been working on.
Actually, it’s been a rather large time span, at least six months, since I’ve put any work into my fiction writing. I’m on about page eighty of my latest book.
It’s not that I’ve run out of ideas, more or less, I’m indecisive. This is what’s really stopping me; I’m not sure what the main character’s true conflict should be. I know what I want, but I fear creating a two thousand word novel. Right now, I have plenty to say.
With that said, and considering my point of view, if I should be published, my work might be criticized by certain parts of society…I’m positive I’d receive opposition. But for some reason, if I’m not ticking someone off, well, I’m not truly happy…that’s actually a joke…okay there might be a morsel of truth to that.
Anyways, actually, jotting my thoughts down, it forces me to contemplate the novel’s content. This bit of writing might actually start the ball rolling.
Have an Excellent Day!
