What are you most proud of in your life?

Pride. Ego is,whether we admit it or not, important when considering our psyche. Everybody, well, okay almost everybody, needs something to take pride in. In my life, I’m proud of many things. Today, as I ponder today’s question, I’ll use this post to reflect, and I’ll share what I’m most proud of.

To start off, I’m very proud of my roots. Being that I’ve never been married, and I’m a strong believer in family, those that came before me, and those I grew up with, are both sources of love and pride…they always will be.

But I’m going to take my last thought, that being my pride of family, and bring it one step further. What I’m really proud of, because I believe it jibes with my ancestor’s expectations, is how I’m living.

You may ask, “How are you living?” I’ll answer it this way; I’m becoming who I’ve always dreamed I’d be. I’m not rich. I’m not ultra-intelligent. Yet, I’m self-sufficient, hard working, cleanly(Well, okay, I’m cleaner than I once was) and I’m a moral human being.

So, yes, my source of pride is very much how I’m living. I’m not searching for handouts, although, yes, I’m in search for more money. I don’t plan on taking anything that doesn’t belong to me, nor will I let someone misuse my efforts.

I also try, and I use the word try, anyways, I want to be a role model. I also want to pave the way for following generations, that includes making things easier by both social and technological means.

I know what you’re thinking, “Chris, how do you plan on affecting modern technology and social efforts?” My answer is this: in the technology realm, I’ll simply suggest things to those who can get it done. Secondly, the social realm…dude, I’m doing it this very instant.

There’s much more, when considering how I’m living, but I think you get the gist. Plain and simple, my drive is aimed at one singular purpose, even if it is a drop in the ocean: I want to be, and I believe I am, a positive influence on planet Earth.
