What does it mean to be a kid at heart?
I guess I’ve always known, at least people claim it’s beneficial, that one should be a kid at heart. But…what does that mean? Today, in this tiny, insignificant post, I’ll give you my personal definition of a youthful soul.
First off, if one desires attachment to their inner child, I suppose one should engage in youthful activities. Being that Halloween was yesterday, I suppose wearing costumes would definitely be a healthy attempt. I recall my grandfather during one of his last healthy Halloweens; He had donned a clown costume. Since the man was born in the early 1920’s, and he loved the circus, I know the man was recollecting childhood fantasies. I’d say that’s being a kid at heart.
Of course there are certainly other ways. My Uncle Dennis, despite being in his seventies, still plays softball. And my mother and father, who love to go out dancing, are totally a local rock band’s groupies. Myself, well, I’ve turned fifty, yet, I will still brave a challenging mountain bike course.
I guess being a kid at heart, at least for me, is not letting your age sideline you…especially if you’re doing what you love!
Have an Excellent Day!!
