If I were to have power and influence, I’d create a national holiday. It would celebrate a very well known man. This person, well, he actually wasn’t born, nor did he live, in the United States. Yet, in this post, I’ll explain how this man’s discoveries made my country a robust nation of industry.

Isaac Newton’s contributions to physics led the way to new technologies. “How so?” You may ask. Well, I’ll explain it like this; his laws of motion created understanding of mechanical engineering. And, in my mind, those discoveries ultimately birthed the Industrial Revolution.

Now, granted, the time between Newton’s discovery and the invention of the freight train was immense. Yet, it was Newton who brought us from the dark, and he shed light on mechanics and physics. He had laid the groundwork, and scientists, using Newton’s fundamental concepts, brought man’s understanding further.

So, yes, Newton should be celebrated. I think, on that day, new tech should be launched. You know, Apple could release their latest iPhone, or Tesla could unveil their newest EV. Wouldn’t that be kind of fun?

Anyways, yes, when we think of holidays, we tend to celebrate political, religious or social figures. How about a scientist? Because, in this day and age, science certainly should be celebrated.
