This is going to be a boring post. Okay, I know what you’re thinking, “That’s the worst lead in ever, Chris! I thought you wanted people to read what you write!” Yeah, I know…it’s a horrible lead in, but, you see, I’ve been asked to tell you who I’ve met. Okay, more to the point, I’m supposed to write about the most famous celeb I’ve ever talked to, and I’m from a small, out of the way, Midwestern town. Around this area, you just don’t see that many famous peeps. Anyways, here’s what I came up with…so…ready?
Well, I’ll keep you in suspense for a little while longer. And you might not want to read further, as you carp, “Why can’t the dude be straight forward?” Give me a break, I’m thinking. As I mull this over, and I recall my fifty years on Earth, I realize that I’ve come across local news celebrities, but they’d be unknown outside of Green Bay.
I’ve also had my picture taken with Emanuel Reynoso. Yet, soccer isn’t huge in the US, and, although he’s really good, his team didn’t do so well this year.
Hmm…I guess I should go with a Green Bay Packer. I didn’t really meet him, but I was right next to him when I was really young. At the time, he was no longer playing for the Packers…he was the head coach.
Despite a dismal coaching career, one in which the Packers only recorded one playoff victory, his playing days were legendary. I really mean that; he’s literally one of the biggest names in pro football.
That guy is Bart Starr.
Here, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, a street and a downtown bridge bear his name. In Lambeau Field, his name is on the ring of honor. So, yeah, I’m sure that some people don’t know who the man is, however, I know that millions do. That’s why I chose Mr. Starr!
Have an Excellent Day!
