If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If you were to say, “Chris, you can live anywhere you want, simply pick a spot.” I don’t know where I’d choose. Today, in my post, I’ll mull over the possibilities.
First off, I love the fall and winter seasons, but, if I were to choose an ideal residence, I’d opt for a place with constant temps. Earlier this year, in a rather weird ‘bucket list’ moment, I ran along Fisherman’s Wharf. It was an early morning jog, and the temps, air and setting were perfect. While I write this, I can see the sidewalk, joggers and piers along my trek.
So yes, the Bay Area, minus its swollen population, would be a cool place.
Yet, as I think about it more, I’m not totally old, and there are adventures I’d love to tackle. So, I’d probably crave a wooded lot, one near a body of water. I love to mountain bike, trail run and kayak, so a remote parcel of land, one surrounded by natural beauty, would be a rather apt spot.
As I think it over, I’m wondering, “Where would I find such a place?”
And while moderate temps would be ideal, four distinct seasons guarantee a variety of outdoor activities. So, yeah, someplace like British Colombia, Canada, with its beautiful mountains, forests, rivers and lakes, man…dude…why would you not want to live there?
Yeah, I guess my final answer, as I’ve penned my thought process, would be British Columbia. It’s sparsely populated, has an abundance of wildlife and it has scenic landscape.
Have an Excellent Day!!
