Who are your current most favorite people?

I’m fond of most people…although I do have spurts of anger. So, when everything is honky dory, which would render an agreeable disposition, I have a lot of favorite people. Yet, if I were to choose my most favorite group…my most adored, my most cherished, my most esteemed…well that’d be easy. They comprise thirteen earthly souls, and I’ll use this post to tell you who they are.

First and foremost, my parents lead the way. I mean, yes, truly, without those two, and even if I refuse to think about how I came to be, anyways, without mom and dad, I wouldn’t exist…plus they’ve provided tons of good advice along the way.

Secondly, my sisters are dear to my heart. Shannon, who’s athletic and outgoing, not to mention gifted with a lot of practical sense, is closest to me in age. Laurie, who’s intelligent and cautious, is four years younger.

My sisters’ partners should be on this list. My reasons are quite obvious. Being two wholly different males, they enhance Shannon and Laurie’s lives, and they allowed the girls to build model families.

Finally, but definitely not least, I’ll brag about my nieces and nephews. I have two godsons, Drew and Bjorn. Drew is in college and Bjorn is a serious techie.

After that, Drew’s bros, Isaiah and Cole, round out Shannon’s clan. Isaiah is thankful for kindergarten and Cole is balancing high school and a job…the kid makes more money than me.

Besides Bjorn, my sister Laurie mothers three smart young ladies. Maddy, the oldest is finishing her first semester at UW-Madison. Clara is next in line, and she is the family’s first female hockey player…she also excels at soccer. And not to be out done, Lille emulates her sisters’ pursuits, and she’s just as prolific.

So, those are my parents, and those, with the exception of Shannon and Norm, are my parents’ offspring. As you can probably guess, they are not only my favorite, but, without too much emphasis, they are the most important people in my life.
