What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

This year is nearing its end. Although I was dismally alone, during 2023’s grind, there were a few huge highlights. In this post, I’ll tell you about those events.

First, my cousin was wedded near California’s wine country. So, being that I’d never been to the Golden State, I figured I’d attend the ceremony.

The trip included San Francisco.

There, I checked out Fisherman’s Wharf,

devoured some seafood,

and viewed Alcatraz from afar.

Well, when I think of the City by the Bay, that wasn’t all I had seen and done.

I also drank some Irish Coffees,

rode a trolley

and gazed upon the Golden Gate Bridge…

from more than one angle.

After my trip to California, my niece graduated high school, and she set off towards Mad Town. She’s now embroiled in her Freshman year at the UW.

I also celebrated my 50th birthday, and I visited a corn maze.

It was tastefully rustic.

lastly, after a summer of MLS viewing, I decided to check out a game.

When it came to the venue, there was nothing second rate…

Nothing!

I even met a celebrity.

Now, I’m hunkered down in my tiny mobile home. While I write this, finally, I’m reliving those moments spent with family.

For now, I’ll enjoy the final days of 2023, and hope this year’s Christmas creates more memories.
