Alright, earlier this summer, I had posted a few entries about sustainable living. And, now, as you gaze upon my house, you may say, “Ha! Phony!” I’ll explain my contradiction.

First off, I am about conserving our planet. Yet, I’m also about spreading good vibes, well, at least, when my moods allow, being a decent human being is a goal. Last night, while reading a Washington Irvin Christmas story, yes, he wrote a bit about Christmas, anyways, the man explained how the sprits of men are contagious. That resonated with me, because, yes, smiles, anger, distrust, when left to simmer, they can spread throughout a group…I’ve seen it tons of times.

So, because I know that good humor can spread, my house has many Christmas lights on it. I realize this eats electricity, but, just because I am about conserving energy, I don’t feel I’m bound by every green energy practice…nor should I be.

I especially feel this way because of my reasons above. I want to spread merriment, and, yeah, mission accomplished.

My neighbor, I think he’s going green. In years past, his lights were the best on the block. Now…yeah, dude, I’m not feeling it. C’mon man, turn the lights on, and spread some cheer. Myself, since I love this age old celebration, and the many traditions attached to this time of year, I’m going to put Vegas to shame!

Have an Excellent Day!
