When are you most happy?
Today, I’m going to be rather difficult. What I mean, as I read this rather general and vague question, is this: I realize, in my life, there is no concrete answer. If you’re wondering what I mean, I’ll express myself in the next few paragraphs.
I do like watching the Packers, so, I could say I’m happy watching a Packer game. Yet, then, much to my dismay, just when I’m really loving my team, they get their tail whipped…that’s not enjoyable.
And sometimes, when they win, eh, I have a few gripes. So, yeah, when it comes to things that make me happy, I guess, watching the Packers wouldn’t really be a great answer.
Besides that, as I really ponder this question, what the hell is happy? It’s a rather vague word. I mean, do they mean elated, overjoyed, satisfied, pleasantly surprised or amused?
Yeah, I’m happy when a family member succeeds. Wait…no, I’m not simply happy. I’m ecstatic, I’m super psyched or, better yet, I’m tearfully pleased. These are my peeps, and they are awesome!
And don’t be jealous with them, if you want my praise, provide some competition, that makes the world a better place. When everybody strives to be the best, the world becomes a place of excellence. But, please, if you’re to go against my family…be fair, and treat them with respect. Everybody wins when that happens.
Hey…I guess I just stumbled on what makes me happy. It’s this: when the world turns as a well oiled machine, and we’re harmoniously making it a better, livable place.
It’s one thing to want to be the best, it’s another thing to treat people with respect, and cede them props when I’m bested. I may not get all the prize, even if I do my best, but I’ll be provided with a blessed living, where the rewards may be plenty.
Have an Excellent Day!
