Who are the biggest influences in your life?

In life, it’s impossible to avoid human influence. Yes, we can choose who we emulate, it’s inevitable , somebody, somewhere, had power over your decisions in life. Today, I’m asking myself, “Who influences my life?”

First off, I think my family strongly affects my decision making. I mean, when you’re young, and when you’re searching for direction, you look towards your parents. And many times, you fall back on those life lessons.

My sisters, and their hip children, influence my choices as well. The kids, they understand what’s cool. My sisters, they understand what’s smart.

I have to say, and it’s certainly undeniable, my coworkers, and my place of employment, affect my decision making process. Many purchase choices, and consumer decisions, stem from working for an affordable retailer.

Lastly, my reading greatly influences my point of view. I read many 19th century novels, so my beliefs are fairly old school. Yet, I feel the sensibility, and sense of humanity, is still insightful till this day.

Also, my past, especially as I’ve grown older, has become more important. Prior failures and successes guide me over new hurdles.

There, there’s probably more influences in my life, but what I’ve listed is a strong compass.
