What’s your favorite thing to cook?
I think I’m like anybody else, well, at least when it pertains to preparing meals…okay, I’m ordinary in other ways too. That being said, in my post today, I’ll explain a portion of that thought process.
I always wanted to cook meals, yet, when you’re in your twenties, yes, then, McDonald’s was fast and easy. So, like many in that demographic, when I was young, instead of throwing something in the oven, I’d drive towards the nearest fast food joint…once in a very great while, I still do.
Yet, even if I’ve mentioned the rare trip to an artery clogging burger server, now, at least usually, because I’m older, and because I’m saving cash, I cook mostly every meal. As my diet changes, so does my cooking skills.
And although I had mentioned slight changes in my diet, being that grocery store prices alter my choices, there has always been one constant: omelettes. I make them every breakfast, and they’re loaded with peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, avocados, ham and cheese.
Granted, although I’ve listed all those ingredients, and since I slot my grocery shopping for one day a week, yes, at times, I run out of an ingredient…or two.
And now that you know I love cooking omelettes, and since I’ve mentioned I’m like most people, and since many people don’t make omelettes for breakfast, I’ll tell you other favorites…ones that are fast and easy to make.
Hot ham and cheese
Grilled cheese sandwiches
Pasta
Pizza
I think you get the point. Even if I really don’t feel like cooking, at least at that particular moment, yet, urging the need for culinary action, those monstrous hunger pangs ravage my tummy, there are a plethora of simplistic meals to prepare.
Anyways, I hope whatever today’s eats are, they bring a smile to your face.
Have an Excellent Day!
