As I really ponder this question, there’s not a shred of doubt in my mind. My parents, my sisters and my sisters’ children are my favorite peeps.

Don’t get me wrong, as I search my memory banks, and as I look at my daily life, I know there are, or, there were, other people I didn’t mind chumming around with. Yet, those people I love, and have loved, and the one concrete constant in my life, would be my family.

Really, I think everyone who has family understands this. I’ve been told I’m fortunate to have a loving family, and, you know what, I know that’s an undeniable fact. And sometimes, when I reflect on past occurrences, being that I once took my family for granted, I’d probably undo several moments. I know my mother would appreciate that.

So, if you have family, and it’s a source of strength, dude, don’t put them on the back burner.
