What is your favorite drink?
As I view today’s prompt, I’ll make a reluctant confession. My favorite drink, one I save for special occasions, is laden with alcohol, and it’s expensive. That being said, it’s been over six months since I’ve had it.
Okay, here we go, now that I’ve mentioned my drink is alcoholic, and now that I’ve mentioned I haven’t enjoyed it for a while, I’ll tell you what it is: Dragon’s Milk. This strangely labeled concoction is a barrel aged beer, and, added to a delicious taste of bourbon, this beer is complemented with a hint of spicy pepper. No, I didn’t get that from the label, that’s exactly how my taste buds receive it.
As you may have guessed, the beer is dark, full flavored and it’s simply a sipping beer. One twelve ounce bottle can last me two days. Which is good, because a four pack costs eighteen bucks…and that’s at the grocery store.
If you were to sip this at a bar, rather than your living room, an eight ounce glass would cost you ten bucks. However, even if I usually tend to be thrifty, because of its unique flavor, I’m willing to shell out the cash, and, because I really do love this beer, I’ll sip it in any bar….at least those that have it!
You’re probably wondering, “Chris, how did you come across this beer?”It’s quite simple, I’ve learned about Dragon’s Milk while talking to a friend. After I heard about it, and after discovering it at a Green Bay establishment, I ordered it…and I instantly fell in love.
That being said, being that I’m a craft beer drinker, I’ll admit that I love many beers …such as…well, the list is long, so I won’t bother to mention them.
Anyways, this workday, this day of being sensible, this task burdened moment, this…well, alright, I believe you get the point, no, today I won’t enjoy a glass of Dragon’s Milk.
Have an Excellent Day!!
