If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?
If I could be someone else for one day…hmmm…who would I be? I could choose Dave Grohl, or I could choose Lionel Messi, or, if I really wanted to be bold, I could choose Donald Trump…I just had to mention Donald, because the man can say anything he chooses.
Anyways, I think I’ll go with Tom Zalaski. Most of you don’t know who that is. So, in the next few paragraphs, I’ll tell you who he is, and I’ll tell you why I envy him.
Tom Zalaski is a long time news anchor, and, as long as I can remember, and that stretches into my childhood, Tom has been a local television personality.
It takes a ton of dedication, and mental stamina, to last in journalism. Not only does it take dedication and stamina, but I’d judge Tom to be a man of moral fortitude, and I believe that there were probably more than one land mine he had side stepped.
And now, in his senior years, the man is still relevant, and he’s performing his duties well. One day, while I’ll never be a news anchor, I hope to continue on past retirement age. I’d want the security, and I’m working on it daily, to know that I could retire. Yet, I’d keep going…just because I could.
So, yeah, long lasting media dudes…I envy you.
