What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

There were many things that have aided my growth. However, there are a few instances, difficult circumstances, that both humbled and strengthened me.

I’d say, first and foremost, that the United States Air Force made me a man. I remember, just after a month long leave, realizing nothing was really left, at least for me, in my small, midwestern hometown. When I had returned to Alaska, and when I stepped on the flight line, I remember realizing that the Air Force was now my life. I also realized my life was mine to live, and, with that, I realized I had to work to make it better.

Of course, Walmart has also played a role. It made me realize that respect and integrity are important. Besides those two mandatory traits, repaying those that have helped you is a must. So, yes, I grew up…because, not only did I feel I should, but it was simply expected.

You’ll have to excuse me, today, I’m running on fumes. So my post is surely lackluster, and it’s also really short. Yet, I can say I accomplished something today.

Have an Excellent Day!!

  1. So many experiences can be gleaned from being in the military and when you get to see things outside your little part of the world.
