What do you wish you could do more every day?
To be honest, I wish I could write more…and I wish I could write more every single day. In this post, I’ll explain my thoughts.
When I think of this past week, there’s something I realize, and I realize I have no power to change my circumstances. As I think of my dilemma, I can relate to older electronic devices.
Remember desktop computers? I actually still have one, and I use it to write my novels. Years ago, every once in a while, because its memory would become cluttered, one would have to defrag their computer.
I forget exactly why the computer would start to lag, but, for some reason, the computer’s frazzled memory would just bog its efficiency down. However, After one did defrag the cpu, the computer was much faster.
As I think of that lagging, tortuously slow digital device, I know my brain suffers the same way, and usual tasks become harder. Yes, my brain becomes cluttered, and writing creatively, or, better said, writing anything becomes a lot harder.
When your day is totally bombarded with distractions, it’s impossible to simply drop all that stress. This week, away from work, and after a few really good writing sessions, I see the chapters I’ve created, and I see them blossoming into an excellent story. That’s awesome.
And, because I’m faced with going into work tomorrow, I’m left to ask, “What if?” Yes, “What if I simply had the time?”
But beyond whining, I just need to practice my coping mechanisms, and I need to brush the stress aside.
Have Excellent Day!
