Okay, another weekend of MLS soccer is approaching. And, now, with every match day shaking up the standings, I’m eagerly anticipating an upcoming European football Saturday….er, which is taking place in America…so actually…I guess…yes, it’s American soccer. Anyways, to celebrate Saturday’s arrival, I’ve selected five games I’m hoping to watch, and, since I want to share my passion, I’m previewing those matches in this post.

First off, as I set my sights on the 6:30 matches, I’m going to stick with my favorite club, and I’ll say that Minnesota United versus Atlanta United looks to be a thrilling match up. I think the Loons are improving, with or without their star midfielder, and I believe they’ll get better as time goes on.

Atlanta, on the other hand, from the handful of matches I’ve actually seen, they’ve been rather inconsistent. However, when inside Mercedes Benz Stadium, I know the squad will be tough to beat.

The second game I’ll highlight, and you really can’t avoid it, will be the New York Red Bulls taking on Inter Miami. This game…well, New York is doing well… and it features Messi. How could you not tune in?

Next up, at seven thirty, I’ll have my eye on Houston and St. Louis. It promises to be an exciting match. I believe St. Louis is better than their record, and Houston may have something up their sleeve.

Also, on my radar, the only nine thirty game promises to be awesome. Vancouver will look to stay atop the Western Conference standings, yet Austin will give them a hefty challenge. Yes, lately, Austin has looked like a formidable force. Those boys from Texas will look to climb the standings.

Lastly, I know I started this by mentioning Saturday, but there’s also a great game scheduled on Sunday, it features the LA Galaxy who will take on Seattle. Lately, the Sounders have seemed lowly, yet, during their mid week make up game, they really looked good against Philadelphia. So, being that this is an old rivalry, and the Galaxy entertain me like no other, I’m expecting a fun game.

Okay, there are my selections. Will you tune in, or will you simply be bored? I, myself, being a middle aged, hopelessly white, clueless American, will certainly enjoy a few matches.

Entertainment is the goal!!
