I’m relatively new to soccer. Hang on, let me be a little more specific. I’m over fifty years old, so I don’t play the game. Yet, during the past five years, I’ve become a fan of this world wide sport. So, yes, I’m a big fan of this age old pastime. Yet, even if I follow many leagues and tourneys…dude, I’m still pretty much clueless.
Take the UEFA European Championship for instance. Or, if you’re from my neck of the woods, take Copa America. Both tourneys feature some of the world’s greatest talents, I say some of the best talent because the game is also widespread in Africa and Asia, anyways, honestly, I really had no idea either of those international events were taking place…and Copa America is hosted by the USA.
Yet, now that I’ve realized that two fairly prestigious tournaments are being held, I’ve been watching tons of quality soccer. I found a cheap app, and, while the broadcasts are in Spanish, I’ve been totally engaged with the coverage.
Many days, with these events beginning a few weeks ago, I could literally watch soccer from 8 am until the midnight hour. Of course, as teams are eliminated, the matches will not be as frequent. Yet, even so, I’m loving it.
And now that I’ve pretty much said nothing, I’ll bid you an excellent day.
Entertainment is the Goal!!
