Starting last night, right after my work shift, and today, during this early afternoon, I watched my favorite soccer team. While they didn’t win, they put on an entertaining show, and they made the LA Galaxy earn their three points. In this very short post, I’ll tell you about my thoughts on the game.

First of all, and I’m not trying to complain, but I feel MNUFC played well enough to at least secure a point, anyways, I felt there were a few questionable offsides calls. Call me biased, but I felt a Minnesota goal was unjustifiably nullified, and a questionable Los Angeles score was allowed.

Other than the final tally, I think Minnesota United kept their fans entertained, and they certainly gave the television viewing audience something to cheer for. Next time, I’m hoping for a win.

As for performances, and the players that catch my eye, it has changed drastically. Granted Temu Pukki and Bongi Llongwane are still scoring goals, but the emergence of Sang Bin and Oluwaseyi certainly has helped the team.

Of course the entire team deserves recognition. For instance, I love watching Lod and Rosales play as well. And with defenders like Tapias and a goalie like Dayne St. Claire, it’s hard to believe that this group is below the play off line. None of these players, whether on the pitch or on the bench, are close to garbage.

And really, when I think about last night’s match, and its waning moments, the Galaxy’s game winning goal came from some incredible ball handling, topped off with the perfect pass.

In the end, I was disappointed, but both teams put on a show, and really, that’s what the crowd came for. It’s only July, and the season lasts till October. So, hopefully, after the long international events, and after the team returns to a full roster, Minnesota will make a late season surge.

Entertainment is the Goal!!
