Tuesday will be an interesting day. My favorite team, Minnesota United, will take on a Liga MX team, and both teams will make a bid for the CONCACAF Champions League. However, Minnesota will have to recover from a rather tough defeat.
After a red card was issued to Hassani Dotson, the Loons had a tough time in Seattle. The final score of that Friday night affair, and the latest disastrous match, was 2-0 in favor of the hosting Sounders. However, before the card was issued, Minnesota United seemed to be the stronger side. So, what do I blame the loss on? I’ll admit, I’d like to attribute it to very aggressive play, but I think a rather reckless tackle attempt, and hasty reaction, cost Hassani the ejection.
Now, after that match, Minnesota will set sights on Liga MX’s Necaxa. I know nothing about this Mexican team, but this event should be fun to watch. Allianz Field should be rocking, and it should be an entertaining show.
So, now that I’ve got your attention, or, I’m assuming I have your attention…after all, you’ve read this far…anyways, other games are slated for the entire week. Pick a night, and indulge in an excellent display of athletic talent!
