Okay, today is going as expected. I’m not having a horrible time at work, but, outside, it’s horribly hot. Air conditioning is a must. Yeah, today, as is the case any day, I’m glad I don’t get paid by the construction industry…I’m also glad I don’t pave roads for a living.
But really, when it’s this hot outside, do those guys get the day off? Here at Walmart, we receive training for hot weather conditions. The information is great, and, most likely, it has helped save a few lives. Anyways, being that most associates enjoy the store’s shelter, hot weather only affects them during breaks and at the beginning and end of shifts.
However, some, like those who push carts, really bear the brunt of the heat…and pair that with a ton of physical labor…yeah, it’s taxing.
Anyways, today, similar to any northeast Wisconsin native’s mind, the heat is a prominent topic. I’ll drink fluids, and I’ll hang out in cool places.
