Okay, today, I’m embattled, and I’m certainly feeling a bit angry. Sometimes, okay, almost always, life’s an uphill battle. Yes, for reasons I totally don’t understand, I’m struggling with things I shouldn’t. It gets me riled up…to say the least.
Alas, I have to shrug that off, and I have to get my work done. Of course, as always, at my job, I have stressors to contend with. But, really, right now, those minor problems are small potatoes. Okay, I’ll get back to my job.
Let’s fast forward towards my final break. Work’s going well, and I’ll finish on time…knock on wood…or…knock on gray slate veneer. Heck, I’ll knock on whatever works, including my balding skull.
Anyways, tonight, I think I’ll survive, and, if I stay true to my duties, I’ll pull off a slightly impressive performance. Yes, definitely, absolutely, positively…undoubtedly, I should finish in admirable fashion. Don’t get me wrong, what ticked me off earlier…well, it lingers. But a job well done is certainly a soothing ointment.
