Four walls or many walls

It doesn’t matter if they’re empty halls

Today The silence is welcome

Yet somehow I still feel lonesome

My solitude should lead to insanity

Stuck In this shrine of vanity

But my focus is clear

Drama has taken the rear

Today, silence is harmless

And a clear mind is harnessed

I didn’t realize my need

I didn’t see where the silence would lead

Shut down twitter and Facebook

Slam instagram and just look

The world is not on your phone

The television only muddles the home

The world’s right outside my window

The world is here in my abode

It’s really not something distant

Don’t try to make it what it isn’t

Sometimes we crave scenes foreign

Without it life would be boring?

Instead of escape educate

Learn instead and don’t manipulate

Yourself, family or friends

If you do, the true world ends

And we sit with lies

And everything we despise

Because we left reality

It’s substitute duality

The contrasts blurred

And our visions disturbed

Finally…today my heart

It’s God’s work of art

But I need to keep it healthy

If I do, my mind is wealthy

It’s about my work

It’s about my words

It’s about my actions

And whatever occurs

If you’re just, I’d follow suit

Our efforts one can’t mute

Some certainly will try

Even seem to vilify

Obstruct and deny

I’ve stopped asking why

Fight through that muck

Progress will be unstuck

Don’t worry about bad luck

And you won’t be a shuck

In the end we fight for us

We hope people won’t ignore us

But I’m ignored today

Yet, there’s no gray

There’s no need for charity

Just wisdom and clarity

I hope the world learns this

I hope someone unveils simplicity

You simply won’t miss

In a world of lucidity
