A very long time ago, definitely not in this century, nor the past century, a man had a vision. He was going to take a fairly new sport, and he was going to sell it to Green Bay’s citizens. That man, a canning factory employee, was known as Fred Hulbert. The sport he introduced was football.

I mention this because, while Fred Hulbert wasn’t the founder of the Packers, he did a lot of marketing, and, because he did, Green Bay became interested in that rather violent game. However, back then, leagues were disorganized, and many games were simply canceled…wait, where am I going with this?

Oh yes, Title Town Brewing Company, which has cleverly titled, deliciously concocted, beverages, and has won awards for those beers, is set in an old canning factory. The town teams of the late 19th century are long past…but this vestige, this testament of Midwestern grit, speaks to football’s infancy.

It also speaks to Green Bay’s industrial roots.

But it’s also a trendy spot, allowing the best view of this football loving town.

I’m not going to get too much more in depth. At times, when you visit this lively setting, there are live bands to rock out to, enormous screens to watch the game or events to simply allow one to mingle.

There’s also a wide array of in house Brews to choose from: like a Green 19 IPA, a Johnny Blood Irish Red or maybe a Dark Helmet Black Lager. They also offer a rotating seasonal beer list.

Either way, these beers should really hit the spot, at the spot where football plans were made…at least I think this was the spot. Anyways, right on the banks of the Fox River, steps away from the Ray Nitchke Bridge, you’ll find the cannery turned brewery: Title Town Brewing Company.

Safe Travels!
