Today, aside from drumming to rock songs, I surveyed the world outside my window. The fairly hot, humid day, tainted by a smokey haze, a result of a Minnesota wildfire, seemed like the casual neighborhood setting.
My air conditioner kept me cool, and my next door neighbors appeared to be engaged in yard work. Well, I think they were doing yard work. They had a step ladder under their large tree. I assume they were lopping off a few troublesome branches.
Other than that, on the other side of my house, a construction duo was putting up siding on someone’s newly erected home.
Of course there were walkers and bikers. There was activity across the road as well. But, all in all, as I write this post while gazing out my large picture window, and as I realize the sun is slowly descending towards the western horizon, I realize today was a fun people watching day.
And as all is quiet, I’ll look forward to another.
Enjoy your evening.
