Do you need a good excuse to over indulge at the Thanksgiving table? I’ve got a perfect one. Run a couple of miles with a cluster of humans, a mass of people unfettered by chilly autumn temps. Do that in the morning, and eat to your heart’s delight in the afternoon. And don’t make the excuse that you don’t know if there’s one in your town. Appleton, WI- Fox Cities Exhibition Center 355 West Lawrence Street- Event begins at 8 am
Green Bay, WI- Johnsonville Tailgate Village at Lambeau Field 1265 Lombardi Ave- event begins at 8 am
Manitowoc WI- Red Arrow Park 1433 S 8th street- Event begins at 8 am
Oshkosh, WI-Menominee Nation Arena 1212 S Main- Street Event begins at 8 am
This is just a small list of local Turkey Trot events. Each event includes a 5 mile run, a 2 mile run and a two mile walk. There are other Turkey Trot gatherings spread throughout Wisconsin. So check for one in your hometown or neighborhood.
There’s nothing wrong with getting the heart rate up! Especially, when you’re kicking off the holidays!
