Do you practice religion?

Everyone needs spirituality for mental health. What form a person chooses, well, I guess it’s their decision. Myself, I really don’t think it was a choice. Through many, many generations, the Christian faith has endured down my family’s tree.

Do I practice religion? Yes, but in my own way, I haven’t been to church in a long time, yet my faith in God has never been stronger. When the urge strikes me, and I question a bible quote, I’ll search for true meaning. As has always been the case, men will twist scripture to suit their own purposes.

I think God is willing to hear you, if you’re willing to follow him. Sometimes, I question the road he has chosen for me. Yet, when I look back at my life, and rid myself of greed, pride and envy, I can see his message. And I know, had I trusted in him, my road would have been different.

It’s hard to explain this to young people, so I don’t. I think you have to experience it to understand it. Realize your determined path is allowed by God only. Sometimes, yeah it’s hard to see through all those worldly wants, yet I know the way I practice religion is condoned by the guy in the sky.

  1. Quantam Physics is seeming to prove that everything in the universe is more or less connected which I think supports your view of spirituality. Do you think science will prove religion correct in the future?

    1. Great question mike. I think science has, at least in some ways, already proven it. In our world, through the seeming chaos, there is order. And as we look at that structure, and the fact that there are concrete laws applied to everything we study, I think it points to a higher being. Thanks for the comment.
