What foods would you like to make?
Food. The fact we consume edibles is something everybody, and I mean every single human, has in common…heck, we share this bond with animals also. Of course, depending on your region, and sometimes a section in a singular nation, your palette may be wholly unique. So, the foods we would like to make, they vary. In this brief Friday post, I’ll tell you, since I’m native to the Badger State, what a white dude from Wisconsin would like to make.
First off, I’d like to say, when I read this prompt, that I’m understanding this question, which comes across as rather vague, anyways, I think I’m being asked to explain what kind of food I’d like to prepare. I mean, if I were really to make it, my choice would involve slaughtering pigs…ugh, I’d rather not.
So, anyways, I haven’t cooked one of my favorite eats all summer long…and, around here, it’s a cookout must. Yes, this product is a bonafide America’s Dairyland backyard tradition. What is it? It happens to be that sausage on a bun: bratwurst.
I love my brats charred. Of course, when preparing pork, it’s a must that the meat is thoroughly cooked. So, when given the chance, I’ll boil them in some cheap beer.
Then, when the brats are set for the finishing touches, I’ll wrap some tinfoil on the grill grate, and I’ll toss the sausages on that surface.
So, there you have it. I’d like to grill some bratwurst. Of course, sides, such as German potato salad, would also be part of my aspirations. If you’re wondering what a brat is, google it. Google would probably provide a more interesting and accurate description.
