What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

Okay, I’m fairly out of sorts today, and originally, I had written a post about my favorite TV shows…somehow, it disappeared.  Anyways, instead of reminiscing about Looney Tunes, Quantum Leap, Happy Days and more, I’m going to use this post to wish my niece a happy birthday. 

Let me lead in like this: today, I’m wearing a ratty tee.  It’s literally twenty years old, but it recalls distant memories of early adult fun.  And while I didn’t attend the University of Madison, I root for the team all the same. Yes, my tee is boasting the UW.

Why do I bring that up?  Because my niece’s life is drastically changing.  And, instead of living in the Minneapolis suburbs, she’s moving to Mad Town!  Go Maddy!

Yes, today, August 29th, my sister’s daughter turns 19, and the woman will be a Wisconsin Badger! We’re pretty proud!

Anyways, Maddy, if you read this, I have to apologize profusely. You’ve never been subjected to Looney Tunes. I mean, that’s good, because most people, I’m referring to the newer generation… like I was saying, one overly strict adult might fret that a boulder would fall on your enemy’s head…and it would come from you. Or, worse yet, you might ramble down state street, firing pistols skyward, and yelling, “Great horn toads!”

Anyways, although Teslas remind me of Knight Rider, and I had a fairly fun and witty post ready, (Okay, I’m bragging a tad), I just don’t have time to rewrite the post.
