Who are your favorite artists?

Okay, this post is about art. More precisely, it’s about my favorite artists. I must confess, even if I like visiting galleries, I’m not well versed in artists names. However, I know a few, and I’ll share those with you.

First off, I find Leonid Afremov’s paintings aesthetically pleasing. Yet, even if I like his work, I own no Afremov prints. Still, since I’m saving up for a piece, one would actually look good in my house.

Van Gogh is my favorite painter, and I do own a few prints. My favorite Van Gogh is Cafe Terrace at Night. I think, by far, it is the man’s most vibrant painting.

I also love National Geographic photos. I couldn’t name the photographers, but I’ve adored those shots for most of my life. In my opinion, visually capturing a beast in the wild is tougher than hunting…especially if you want to make it a piece of wall art.

Beyond that short list, I really don’t have preferences. However, I love many more pieces. Some works of art, being that I’m one with eclectic tastes, live in my memory banks, but I’d be damned if I knew who created them.

So, there you go, I like art. That being said, I have no formal training, and I’ve taken in a wide array of talents. So, yes, although I should be able to list ten, only two pop in my head.
