Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

A few years ago, and on my days off, I’d visit any novel attraction in my immediate area. Then, taking advice from a successful travel blogger, and after I had a positive experience, I’d write about my visit. Today, I rarely do that, but, as I follow today’s prompt, I’ll rack my brain for a place I’ve yet to visit, and I’ll tell you about a typical Wisconsin spot.

This place, the place I want to see, isn’t far from me, yet, up to this day, I haven’t set foot in its doors. “What the hell is this place?” I hear you ask, and I can sense your impatience. So, without further verbosity, I’ll write it down: Renard’s Cheese.

Wait, I have been to Renard’s, but that shop was in Door County. This one is in Green Bay, and it’s literally within three miles of my house.

I went to school with a relative of the owner. We were in different social cliques, yet he wasn’t a bad guy…and I have a good opinion of the man. I have an even better opinion of the family’s cheese products. So, now that there’s a shop nearby…I want to buy some delicious cheese.

Have an Excellent Day!!

  1. I’m from Wisconsin and wrote about Simon’s Cheese Store. LOL I thought it was amusing that we’re both from Wisconsin and wrote about cheese for todays daily prompt.

    1. It’s an inevitable coincidence, being that we’re both from Wisconsin. As a matter of fact, years ago, I also wrote about Simon’s. If it’s the one in Appleton, we’ve both posted similar pieces.
