Another MLS weekend is in the books. If you don’t know, and, judging by my stats, no one does, I had hyped a few of this past weekend’s games, figuring they’d be great to watch. Even if I felt confident about my selections, my choices weren’t that stellar. Yet, because I do love MLS soccer, I’ll recount them all the same.

My biggest gaff occurred when I claimed that Austin versus Vancouver would be the game of the week…it ended 0-0. No goals, means no entertainment….err, okay, actually, if I’m to be quite honest, even if no one scored, Brad Stuver, Austin’s goalie, put on one hell of a show.

During most…alright, during the entire match, I felt a goal was inevitable. And since a lot of quality shots were had, I’ll give a ton of credit to the goalies. A few shots were definitely worthy of the back of the net. I guess, being that I was entertained during the entire game, that, while it wasn’t the game of the week, it was certainly worth watching.

Another rather disappointing match was Minnesota United versus Atlanta United. At the beginning, most of the match seemed to be played in the middle of the field. However, midway through the first half, it had finally opened up. Both teams were making decent stabs at the goal, and both goalies were showing off their skills.

Yet, aided by a set piece header, Minnesota United, after surviving a barrage of Atlanta assaults, won the game, and they earned a hard fought 2-1 victory.

As I mentioned those bad guesses, I think many would feel that New York versus Inter Miami was the actual game of the week. And from the start, yes, it certainly was an entertaining match…and the Miami crowd was treated to a ton of second half goals.

My other two games, yes, in a bit of odd luck, much like Austin versus Vancouver, those matches also ended in 0-0 ties…how the hell does that happen? If I didn’t know any better, I’d say the MLS had something against me.

Anyways, due to my busy life, I’ll cut this post short, and I’ll bid everyone an excellent day. On Friday, God willing, I’ll hype a few more Saturday matches. Until then, with kickoff less than an hour away, check out Paramount Plus, and watch the Champions League semi final. Dortmund versus PSG should be worth watching.

Entertainment it the Goal!
