Sometimes, many times, we become frustrated with our employer…and we say things we don’t mean. For example, about five minutes ago, I disappointingly experienced one of those moments. Yes, I should have watched my speech, and I should have addressed the underlying problem, and I shouldn’t have blamed Walmart.

Simply stated, my complaint should have been directed towards one person, and I shouldn’t have blamed the entire company…because it wasn’t the company’s fault.

When you make statements on the sales floor, and you have your vest slung over your shoulder, you have to represent the company. Right now, I feel like I failed. In all reality…I did.

I won’t repeat my statement, and, even if I open myself to claims of hypocrisy, I won’t condone such statements from others. Integrity can be a slippery slope, and proper perspective, whether in good or bad moods, must be sought after.

It is my employer who provides me with my current lifestyle. So, trying to undermine its mission, in all intents and purposes, undermines a portion of my own life. I’d rather not do that.

So, as I wrap this up, I’ll just admit that ranting about your employer undermines your own objectives. Don’t get me wrong, there will be misdeeds in any corporation, but reporting them, and suggesting just courses of action, should be the correct path.

Have an Excellent Day!
